Platon joined NortonLifeLock Research Group in 2019.

He received his PhD in Software, Systems and Computing in 2019 at the IMDEA Software Institute and Universidad Politecnica de Madrd (UPM) under the supervision of Dr. Juan Caballero. His research interests lie in malware (detection, analysis, classification) and network security (measurements, intrusion detection).

His PhD shed light on various unknown facets of Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP) that affected millions of Internet users. His work has been published in top-tier security conferences like Usenix Security, ACM CCS, IEEE Security & Privacy, and NDSS Symposium.
