Software Donation Program

Across the world, social benefit organizations play a vital role in supporting the diverse needs of their communities. From small public libraries that sponsor adult literacy programs to food banks feeding the hungry, these organizations face rising demands on their services. At the same time, they often lack the resources required to secure the sensitive data their employees and volunteers handle on a daily basis.

NortonLifeLock's software donation program exists to help social benefit organizations stay safe online in our increasingly interconnected world. Over the course of our 16 year-long partnership with TechSoup, we’ve distributed over 3.3 million donated products to over 102,000 nonprofits and public libraries.

Who is helped?

"We use the USB block quite often to reduce the introduction of viruses…. [we were able] to manage the USB block on PCs more easily by creating a specific policy which removes the block for those needing access to USBs or hard drives.” Other benefits include the management console – Haley adds that she “personally enjoy[s] the ability to add and remove devices through the interface. It also has the benefit of showing if someone is online."

— Haley Cheek, IT Officer, The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) and Norton Small Business customer

"Using Norton has enabled us to be less anxious about the safety of our web presence and receive clear information about threats."

— Sam Harrell, CEO of Africa Exchange and Norton Security Deluxe customer
